The Cotswolds are an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of England, perfect for country breaks, gentle walks, sighteeing and good meals out.

British Currency:

Pounds Sterling – there are 100 pence to a pound £

Foreign currency can be changed in banks, and in Currency Exchange Outlets which are plentiful in city centres

There are ATMs or “home in the wall” machines in every town and even some villages which will dispense cash in Sterling.

You should be able to use your debit or credit card in an ATM to obtain Sterling. Check with your bank before your holiday to avoid embarrassment.

Credit and debit cards are commonly accepted throughtout the Cotswolds and England. Some retailers do not accept American Express and also do not accept cards for low value purchases.
